SAM† - 50 YEAR COMMEMRATIVE DEGREE

 

Sam was initiated into Lodge St Lawrence in the Lodge Rooms, Town Hall Forres on the 4th of March 1952.Sam at the time of his initiation was a Young man of 31 summers employed as a Sawyer at Greshop Saw Mills, Forres. Sam was installed as RWM in 1977, presiding over the Lodges 200th Anniversary celebrations which included a Rededication ceremony by Captain Robert Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont

Sam has been a faithfully servant of Lodge St Lawrence, and has filled the Offices of Secretary, Treasurer and Almoner. Regardless of the Office, Sam always performs his duties efficiently with enthusiasm and vigour , always ready to advise the Brethren on any queries on Constitution or Regulations which may arise.

 

Sam is also a committed and skilled floor worker, always willing to assist the RWM in the working of the Degrees. He also forms part of the Lodge St Lawrence Installation Board.

 

Sam is a long standing member of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Moray and Nairn, at present filling the Office of Provincial Grand Almoner. He is also a keen Member and Office Bearer of a number of Masonic side degrees.
