Cutting of Commemorative Cake

Past Provincial Master Tom Buist (left) & RWM John Moore (right) present Past Master Sam Craib with a Jubilee Diploma.

Lodge St Lawrence held a commemorative meeting on Friday the 22nd March 2002 to mark  the Lodges 225th Anniversary (founded 13 Feb 1777), which was a great success. During a Rededication ceremony carried out by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Moray & Nairn, the Past Provincial Master Tom Buist re-presented the Lodge Charter to Lodge St Lawrence' s Right Worshipful Master John Moore. Tom Buist is a senior Past Master in the other Masonic Lodge in Forres, Lodge St John No.37 and has been a great friend and supporter of Lodge St Lawrence, it was therefore particularly apt that Tom should lead the Provincial Deputation on this occasion.

Following the Re-dedication Lodge St Lawrence conducted a special commemorative Degree to mark Past Master Sam Craibs 50th year in Freemasonry. Sam had no idea prior to the night that the Degree was taking place. On conclusion of the Degree Sam was presented with a Jubilee Certificate marking his service, and a number of commemorative gifts.
